Tom Keyes, Republican candidate for State Senate in the Plymouth and Barnstable district issued the following statement regarding the latest EBT card fraud uncovered,
“I am pleased about the bust. However, it proves we have a systemic problem with these EBT cards. It is time for significant reforms that protect our tax dollars from being abused. I support Rep. O’Connell’s effort to reform the system. I agree with her that it is time to end cash benefits and to stop replacing 20,000 lost cards monthly.”
“These cards and our tax dollars have been abused for far too long. It is time for new leadership at the State House that will not turn a blind eye to the abuse.”
